FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Sept. 17, 2020
Brothers and sisters in Christ,
In our continued commitment to offer recommendations and resources, the pandemic task team would like to offer an update focused solely on children and youth ministry. Rev. Trey Skaggs, pastor at First United Methodist Church in Indianola, moderates a discussion addressing the frustrations with uncertainty and anxiety of children and youth leaders; the struggles, stresses and innovation happening in these ministry areas and the value of children and youth worker roles within local faith communities and across the connection.
Click here or on the image below to hear from panelist Jamie Beatty, children’s director at Brandon First UMC; Cameron Cloud, student ministries director at Crossgates UMC and Mike Howington, youth and family ministry coordinator for the Mississippi Conference.
Lastly, know that we rejoice with you in your accomplishments and are grateful for all your endeavors to do no harm. Continue to wear masks, practice social distancing and sanitize your hands often.
Praying that your soul prospers as your health prospers,
