Register Now for the 2022 Clergy Session

Greeting my brothers and sisters in Christ,

As we look towards our 2022 Clergy Session gathering June 9 from 10:00 a.m. to noon, we would like to announce some changes to our plans.

Due to concerns around the ongoing pandemic possibilities, and the need to have Clergy Session prior to moving day and separate from our 2022 Session of the Mississippi Annual Conference in July, the decision had been made early to continue with a virtual session as we have done the past two years.

With a virtual session we restrict our attendance to those in full connection who are eligible to vote on matters of character and status. In addition, we also restrict our business to those BAC questions that require a vote.

Recently, as things have opened up, and as our desire to gather has increased, we have been in conversation around protocols and the possibility of having an in-person option. We are pleased to announce a limited attendance in-person option on the Millsaps Campus at McMullan Lecture Hall. Attendance will be limited to 150 people. Masks will be provided for those who would feel safer with them. Those who are unvaccinated, have health concerns or have concerns about gathering are strongly encouraged to join by Zoom Webinar.

All clergy in full connection need to register at the below link for either participation by Zoom Webinar or in person.

Those who register for Zoom will be sent a link to join by Zoom Webinar as we have done in the past. Webinar participants will vote through the polling feature. If you will be joining by phone and wish to have a paper ballot, please email

Those who register in person should plan to arrive at McMullan Hall on the Millsaps College campus no later than 9:30 a.m. Registration will be checked at the door. We will not be able to permit anyone who is not registered to attend.

Notes About the BAC

The “Business of the Annual Conference” that documents the work of the Clergy Session will be distributed by online link at midnight on June 1 and will close at midnight on June 3 to allow for corrections prior to the board of ordained ministry (BOOM) meeting.

An eblast will be sent to all clergy for your information and input. We strongly encourage those full connection clergy who will be voting to print a copy if you would like it during the session. We will not be showing the questions electronically.

If you have any corrections, please submit those to by June 6, 2022
