The Gulfside Association, Incorporated, Board of Directors takes great pride in offering Mrs. Mollie M. Stewart a retirement appreciation for serving the Gulfside Assembly in Waveland, Mississippi. Mollie’s official retirement date was September 30, 2017. Mrs. Stewart served as CEO, executive director, board of director’s chairperson and board member for approximately two decades. Under her leadership the Gulfside Assembly continued in various ministries and partnerships across the United Methodist connection, and Hancock County. Stewart garnered support from caucuses, jurisdictions and individuals as she championed the cause of Gulfside. Stewart lead a diligent campaign for a rebuilding of the center that was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina and impaired by the BP Oil Spill. Even after these challenges she continued her pursuit of the original mission to make Gulfside a Mecca on the coast of Mississippi. The Gulfside Board of Directors are grateful and applaud her diligence and commitment to the success of this historic organization. We invite your presence and generous support for her at a retirement appreciation.
