$5,000 Scholarships Available for HBCU Students

UMHEF offers several $5,000 scholarships to students attending or planning to attend one of the country’s Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) that are United Methodist-related. These institutions include:

Eligibility

  • Be attending or planning to attend a United Methodist-related HBCU
  • Be a member of a United Methodist Church for at least one year
  • Be in good standing with the college/university
  • Must have a GPA of at least 2.5

How to Apply

You may apply using the General Named Endowed Scholarship application. Be sure to indicate the HBCU you plan to attend in the field about your school of choice. Our office will then match you to this scholarship if you meet the additional eligibility requirements.

Applications and all supporting documents are due March 1, 2020.
