2021 Laity Session Update

6/7/2021

Hello, Mississippi Annual Conference!

This is LaToya Redd Thompson, the Mississippi Annual Conference Lay Leader, writing to invite you to the board of laity-sponsored annual informational session for the laity Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. The session will be virtual again this year. So, hopefully, you can attend!

We will discuss the two mission foci of the annual conference — intentional disciple-making systems and ending racism — and you will likely hear what’s going on near you that you can participate in.

We will also discuss the again-postponed 2020 General Conference - who is doing official work for or related to General Conference, when the General Conference will take place and more.

In preparation for the session, please review the agenda beforehand.

The district lay leaders, conference presidents and I hope to see you for the sharing of this important information Saturday! If you have any questions about this session, please email Angela Griffin at agriffin@mississippi-umc.org
