Four years ago we met Katrina

“I believe that I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” — Psalm 27:13

Four years ago, Hurricane Katrina roared ashore. On Aug. 29, we mark four years. In the past 48 months thousands have offered gifts, time, talents and resources as our partners in restoration.

The young son of one of our clergy asked on the second anniversary of Katrina, “Mom, how much longer do we have to remember Katrina.” ?

We will never forget. We remember devastation, yet we remember generosity, community and strong hope. ?Your prayers and presence and generosity are still needed as the recovery continues.

Our opportunities will not end until everyone is back home in south Mississippi.
