Knock on nine

I am the bread of life.” – John 6:35

Harrisville and Rexford United Methodist churches participated with The Society of St. Andrew in gleaning sweet corn.

They took the corn through an impoverished neighborhood, giving the corn away and saying simply, “This is a gift from your church.”

They did not say which churches.  They were bold to claim families into their family.

The families found out which churches.  On Sunday, there were six new families in worship.

Sweet corn evangelism! A vibrant witness!

When we give ourselves away to others, Christ is glorified and others are drawn to the cross.

Let us share the bread of life in our communities. We are gifted, creative, energetic people. Every church in the Mississippi Conference is invited to Knock on Nine each week, beginning in August. If we do this, we will knock on 10,000 doors each week.

We look forward to the great harvest, all that God continues to do among us, through us, with us.

Have fun as you knock on nine!
