Carthage pastor releases second collection of sacred music


The Rev. Haywood Hannah has released his second vocal recording, I Can Sing My Troubles Away.

Hannah serves as pastor of Greenwood Chapel and Wesley Chapel United Methodist churches in Carthage.

Hannah is a cum laude music education graduate of Jackson State University. He has performed with Opera South and University Chorale and Choir at Jackson State. He organized and founded The Choctaw Jubilees Singing Quartet in Choctaw County. He worked with public school choirs, and founded the Attala County Youth Mass Choir in 1989. His first CD was titled Walk. In addition, Hannah has promoted and performed with The Mississippi Mass Choir and Dorothy Norwood.\
