Laurel First UMC honors Moss for 31 years service to church


Laurel First United Methodist Church honored Peggy Moss at an April 27 luncheon to honor her after she retired following 31 years as the church business administrator.

Moss received certification from Emory University as a church business administrator and served for seven years on the executive board of the Southeastern Jurisdiction Association of United Methodist Business Administrators. Each year she took advantage of continuing education opportunities provided by this organization in order to equip herself for continued effective service to her church.
More than 100 members of First United Methodist Church and many other friends and family members, honored Moss’s years of service. Since Moss is a long time member of the church, the members also celebrated the fact that she will remain a vital a part of the church family.
