Susan B. Bond, nurse


GAUTIER -- Susan Brown Bond, 53, died May 6, 2008, in Warrior, Ala.

A memorial service was held May 13, 2008, at St. Pierre's Episcopal Church. Interment followed in Biloxi National Cemetery. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bond was the spouse of the Rev. John William Bond, a clergy member of the Mississippi Conference of The United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Bond was a registered nurse for 34 years. She was a graduate of Ida Moffet School of Nursing-Samford University in Birmingham, the University of Maryland and Lorretta Heights-Regis University in Denver. All of her degrees were in nursing. She was a an avid reader. Mrs. Bond was a communicant at St. Pierre's Episcopal Church and a member of the Daughters of the King at St. Pierre's.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joel Marion Brown.

Other survivors include: daughters, Audra K. Bond of Pascagoula and Margaret Lipps of Ocean Springs; mother, Norma Lee Brown; brothers, Joel Marion Brown Jr. of Jasper, Ala., and William David Brown of Birmingham; and three grandchildren.
