Billy Robert Coile, 71, died Jan. 27, 2008, at the University Medical Center.

Services were held Jan. 29 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Brandon. Mark Seepe Funeral Directors & Crematorium handled arrangements.

Mr. Coile, son of Henry and Aubyn Baucum Coile, was born Jan. 29, 1936, in Shreveport, La. Following his education, his career led him into the field of accounting, working in general business; most recently for the Mississippi Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. Prior to his moving to Brandon, he was the business manager of the Moslah Shrine Center in Ft. Worth, Texas.

He was the father of the Rev. Warren Coile of Amory, a clergy member of the Mississippi Conference.

Mr. Coile was involved with the Masons in Pearl, Lodge No. 23 in Jackson, 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, Shriner, directors staff and Flying Fez, Royal Order of the Jesters, Order of Quetzalcoatl (Kokopelli No. 33) and the American Legion.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in Korea, and was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.

Other survivors include: his spouse, Carolyn Kern Coile; daughters, Mary Coile, J’Nell Coile; son, Edwin Coile; step-daughter, Jennifer Minyard; step-son, Robert McInnis; and six grandchildren.
