Pelahatchie Shiloh honors long-time members


Shiloh United Methodist Church of Pelahatchie recently recognized individuals who have been members for 60 consecutive years or longer. Among the honorees were Fannie Rhodes 62 years, Ora Mae White 72 years, Helen Rhodes 69 years, Mary Banes 68 years, Willa Dean Perkins, Bess Lovell 61 years, Russell Warren 65 years, Myrtis Warren 67 years, David Robinson 64 years, Sadie Banes 64 years, Jim Lovell, Lee Edwin Knight 64 years.

Members unable to attend include Willie May Gray 68 years, Eudora Edwards 62 years and Louise Fields 61 years. Members for 60 years or longer who are now in nursing homes are Annie Mae Rhodes 81 years, Ruth Rhodes 78 years, Robert Jones 76 years, Curtis Robinson 64 years and Roy Carter 60-plus years.

Members for 60 years but not continuous are Rev. John Carter, Willa Dean Perkins 76 years, Sue Murff 72 years, Ellen Alsworth 71 years, Nell Robinson 67 years, Jack Tuten 64 years, Betty Warren 61 years and Bettie Weathersby 61 years. Also recognized as senior members were Mr. and Mrs. Maxie Tucker, who moved to Shiloh later. 

After the morning worship service, they were honored with a luncheon in the Fellowship Hall.
