Retreat examines God's call

Pastors who would like to see more members of their congregation get involved in the ministry of their church might want to bring them to the Discover God’s Call retreat.

While at the retreat the participants learn what their spiritual gifts are and how God might be calling them to use these gifts in their home church. In addition, pastors who attend will receive 1.5 continuing education units.

The event is scheduled for May 12-14 at Durr Wise Conference Center of Camp Wesley Pines in Gallman.

Discover God’s Call is a program to help Christians discover their spiritual gifts, put them to work for the kingdom of God and inspire them to bring this program to their local church and begin to make all members into ministers.

The retreat experience begins with a 26-day pre-retreat study. At the retreat participants break into small groups to further explore their gifts and how God wants them used.  This year’s speaker is the Rev. Cecil Williamson.

The cost of the retreat is $145 and the deadline to register is March 31. For information or to receive a brochure call Steve Seeley, Mississippi Chapter registrar, at 601-372-7461 or visit our website at and click on Discover God’s Call to print out a brochure.
