Students at the University of Southern Mississippi, USM, have a new place to buy coffee, build relationships and learn about Jesus. Equinox Coffee in now open inside the Wesley Foundation on campus and is proving to be a popular location for students to stop by and get their morning cup of joe.
"The major purpose of opening a coffee shop inside the Wesley Foundation is to reach students and allow individuals who don't know we exist to have a cup of coffee and build relationships," said Eric Davis, USM Wesley Foundation Director.
In addition to the coffee shop, the Wesley Foundation ministers to students through a food pantry where students can grab meals and go, Tuesday lunches and also recently hired an associate director who specializes in mental health initiatives.
Donations from local churches keep the Wesley Foundation food pantry full, and they are happy to receive any all support from those who would like to help. Those interested in supporting the USM Wesley Foundation can donate through their website here or contact them at usmwesley@gmail.com.
