As a clergy delegate from the Mississippi Conference of The United Methodist Church, my hope for the going into the special called session of the General Conference being held February 23-26, 2019 will be for a sense of peace that all God’s children may be able to claim “Blessed Assurance, Jesus is Mine!”  As a life-long United Methodist and a third generation United Methodist preacher, our heritage has always been to proclaim, “This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long!”  When the 2019 General Conference is completed, may we truly be The United Methodist Church!
