Rev. Tim Thompson is the administrative assistant to the bishop and director of faith community formation. In partnership with the bishop and cabinet, Tim helps set long-term objectives and strategies of the conference. He is responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing comprehensive new faith and revitalization development programs and processes that will lead the Mississippi Conference into a future of vital, effective and transformative communities of faith.

Tim serves as a consultant on many aspects of local church life. His office provides community analysis and assessments, training, vision casting and strategic planning -- facilitating a process to evaluate the ministry effectiveness of a church that concludes in a strategic plan for today and the future.

Jane Horstman, reports to the director of faith community formation in the work of establishing new faith communities, guiding existing faith communities to become vital congregations and assessing candidates for new faith or revitalization work, providing training, support, coaching, resourcing and supervision as needed. Jane also conducts community assessments in order to assist the bishop and cabinet in vision casting, strategic planning, system analysis and resource allocation. Jane also manages the collection of data, which includes ensuring the performance and integrity of said data as well as the development and implementation of new and improved processes and/or systems.

Rev. Jason Zebert assists in the work of establishing new faith communities and guiding existing faith communities to become vital congregations, by providing tools, resources, guidance and training as needed. Jason also conducts community assessments in order to assist the bishop and cabinet in vision casting, strategic planning and resource allocation. Jason also provides training, assistance and support on multiple online dashboards as well as planning and coordinating departmental events and workshops.
