We are facing one of the most critical moves in the next iteration of the online worship experience. As we move back into our buildings, we mustn’t return to making people at home observers after talking to them for so long. We want to consider how we can create worship for two audiences at the same time – those who are in the pews and those who are on their couches. How do we keep both audiences engaged so that neither one feels left out?

While the pandemic led many churches to embrace some basic online broadcasting, creating transformative worship experiences for both in-person and online audiences requires a robust theology of worship and understanding of the mediums.
The Faith Community Formation Office of the Mississippi Annual Conference and Midnight Oil Productions  invite you to join Jason Moore's Both/And: Maximizing Hybrid Worship Experience for Online and In-Person Audiences, Thursday, Sept. 30, 6-8:30 pm and the follow-up session, scheduled Thursday, October 28, 2021, 6-7 pm, as he delves into strategies on creating powerful transformative worship where no one feels like they are an afterthought. Sessions will be presented via ZOOM webinar.

This webinar will explore:
  1. Re-imagining worship for both/and
  2. How to create interactive both/and worship experiences where BOTH the in-person worshippers AND those worshipping from home are able to participate in their own way
  3. Practical ideas on how to bring at home and in-person worshippers together in real time
  4. Alternative opportunities for online audiences watching in-person livestreams
  5. Repurposing in-person worship for online audiences
  6. Best practices and proven strategies for offering your online worshippers opportunities to participate when watching an in-person livestream
This event is FREE of charge for laity and $25 per clergy (which includes .5 CEUs). To receive the CEUs, clergy must participate in all three training components below. This event will also count for laity who need credit to maintain certifications. NOTE: Certified Lay Ministers who want to receive CEU credit to maintain certification, must get prior approval from their District Superintendent.

ALL are invited to attend.

Register here to join the Both/And: Maximizing Hybrid Worship Experience for Online and In-Person Audiences on Thursday, September 30, 6-8:30 pm and the follow-up session, scheduled on Thursday, October 28, 2021, 6-7 pm.
