Reverend Cecil Stone is a pastor whose ministry passion is purposed and driven by Worship and Praise. Rev. Stone currently serves as the senior pastor of Springfield Gardens United Methodist Church in Queens, N.Y. (27 years) and as pastor of the Hanson Place Central United Methodist church in Brooklyn, N.Y. (10 years). He strives to lead both congregations from mediocrity to the pursuit of excellence; spiritually, physically, administratively, and financially.

Both congregations are experiencing the bounty of God’s manifest in their respective neighboring communities, and the greater New York metropolitan area.  Reverend Stone previously served as pastor in a cross racial appointment at the Highland Mills and Mountainville Churches in upstate New York. Rev Stone is a graduate of Drew Theological Seminary in Madison, New Jersey, and Wesley Theological Seminary, in Washington D.C.

Rev. Stone has worked as an adjunct professor at Drew Theological Seminary and is currently an adjunct professor at New York Theological Seminary, where from the fall of 2013 to the spring of  2014, he served as the Interim Associate Dean of Contextual Learning.

Rev. Stone is also the founder of PETRA Ministries; a structured and biblically based mentoring, coaching, modeling and support ministry; combining spiritual and pastoral formation with practical education for Pastors and church leaders.

Rev. Stone is currently married to Carrol Evangeline for the past 40 years, and they are the grateful parents of Crystal and Selena.
