Clergy/Non-Clergy Budget Compensation Reports
Beginning with 2022, appointed clergy and lay pastors must utilize the Excel driven Clergy Budget Compensation Reports. This form will complete all calculations for you including Direct Invoice for the church’s share (employer share) of the pension and medical benefits. Detailed instructions are included on each form to help you. The employee share of the Insurance rates did not change for 2022 For the rate schedule, click here. Remember that if you list premiums, FSA, DCA or the H S A, you must utilize the conference system and the payments must come from the church whether by A C H (draft) or by check. Otherwise, the church Treasurer will have to do the correct computations when preparing the W-2 form. Below is a link to the 2022 forms and the new video with instructions on preparing the forms.
3 "L" Academy
In the past, the Mississippi Conference Board of Pension sponsored a two-day educational session where we assisted clergy in modeling and teaching the United Methodist commitment to fully utilizing their time, talents, gifts, service, and witness. During that session we explored new ways of doing stewardship and teaching generosity. With the pandemic, we had to postpone the program to the spring of 2021.
Until that time, we have the following videos that we believe will assist you in learning the important details about your benefits as clergy. We hope you will register for the Academy in the spring as soon as we are able to set the date. More to come about that.
