1. Be at least 21 years old
2. Have FBI fingerprint Back ground check
3. CPR certified
4. Associate or Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or 2 years of paid experience with a current CDA
5. 3 years of relevant experience is preferred



Job Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assure that all state regulations are followed on a daily basis

Manage day-to-day activities at a preschool

Create instructional resources for use in the classroom

Develop academic programs

Monitor Students and teachers for progress

Train, encourage, and mentor teachers and other staff

Prepare work schedules and subs when teachers are absent

Schedule workers and subs for Church nursery

Administer record keeping

Assure that all aspects of the daycare meet state regulations including menus, teacher contact hours, CPR certifications

Supervise teachers and other support staff

Maintain rapport with parents

Handle tours and marketing

Prepare budgets and annual reports

Work actively with teachers to maintain high curriculum standards

Formulate mission statements

Establish performance goals and objectives

Explain or answer procedural questions

Hire, train, and evaluate teachers

Visit classrooms and observe teaching methods

Examine learning materials

Review instructional objectives and adjust accordingly

Complete all paperwork as needed for any grants or programs

Attend board meetings as needed

Meet with other administrators, parents, and community organizations

Prepare and maintain budgets

Any other duties assigned


An associate's or bachelor's degree in child development or anything equivalent.

Must have current Department of Health FBI fingerprint check

Must be CPR certified and must be current

Must have completed Department of Health Regulations Classes for Directors

Experience with Pro-care software is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
