Title: Director of Student Ministry (Asbury United Methodist Church - Birmingham, AL) Description: Are you ready to lead a vibrant and growing student ministry program? Do you want to work with a great staff and fantastic volunteer team? Asbury United Methodist Church in Birmingham Alabama is looking for a full time Director of Student Ministry to continue building a ministry that partners with parents to pass down faith to middle and high school students. The Director will lead a dynamic and dedicated team including an associate director, administrative specialist, worship coordinator, and interns in addition to amazing and dedicated volunteer leaders. The student ministry team also works closely with the children and adult ministry teams. This role’s primary task involves working directly with students and adult volunteers.

Asbury United Methodist Church is a dynamic congregation that is vibrant and healthy.  Our Church family worships around 1,200 on Sundays and ministers to an average of 175 students. Asbury is deeply committed to being a part of the United Methodist Church and being a place that is open to all people. Asbury United Methodist Church is located in North Shelby County Alabama, 20 minutes from downtown Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of full-time experience within the United Methodist Church and hold a bachelor's degree.
