  1. Plan, implement, and coordinate the church’s program of music ministry. This includes the general management of the music program as well as coordination of special programs such as cantatas, solos or ensembles. Performances and programs shall be reported to the Director of Music for approval.

  2. Meet weekly with church staff for the planning and preparation of the principle worship services, and the total music program. This also includes holding regular music staff meetings and reporting back to the church staff about these meetings.

  3. Work in consultation with the Church Staff in preparing and implementing a long- range plan for strengthening, developing and expanding opportunities for music ministry within the congregation, giving special priority to involving a broad segment of the congregation.

  4. Work and plan in conjunction with the church pianist and organist.

  5. The Music Minister is responsible for the maintenance, care and placement of musical equipment and instruments. Any extra budgetary needs (such as new equipment and repairs) must be processed properly through Trustees and Finance.

  6. Coordinating the Adult Music Program

  7. Provide music for Sunday morning Traditional worship and conducting Wednesday evening choir practice.

    1. Submit and administer a budget for music ministries.

    2. Administer the choir library.

    3. Administer all musical instruments, electronic equipment related to the music

      department, and all choir robes and accessories.

    4. Administer new projects, programs, and changes of schedules and substitutions of

      personnel.

    5. Develop special choirs that seek to meet the various needs of the church

      fellowship such as a senior choir, youth ensemble, etc.

    6. Recruit participants for music ministries.

    7. Plan and lead handbell choir rehearsals and performances as needed.

    8. Prepare CCLI copyright reports and maintain CCLI standards on traditional

      service music.

    9. Establish new music ministries as appropriate.

    10. Cooperate with Overflow worship leader to plan and lead combined worship and

      community events requiring music.

    11. Oversee the provision for music at special events, weddings, funerals, prayer

      meetings, etc.

    12. Work with sound technicians and volunteer video and sound team to insure worship services are properly supported.

    13. Help Children’s Coordinator plan and present special musical programs.
