CLINICAL PASTORAL EDUCATION RESIDENCY 2021-2022
Originating over a century ago as Baton Rouge’s first hospital, Baton Rouge General has become a fully integrated medical community with a physician network of more than 800, a hospital staff of more than 3,500, and more than 20 clinics and medical facilities. In 2010, the hospital became a satellite campus for Tulane University School of Medicine, further cementing its reputation as a regional teaching hospital.
Baton Rouge General Medical Center is a full-service, not-for-profit community hospital with three campuses.
• Mid City: a sub-acute care hospital specializing in senior care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, physical medicine, psychiatric, long-term care and in-patient hospice.
• Bluebonnet: an acute care hospital specializing in cardiac, neurology, oncology, obstetrics, orthopedic, outpatient surgery, emergency department and radiation oncology.
• Ascension: a new Neighborhood Hospital featuring emergency and primary care, OB-GYN, imaging, radiology, and physical therapy services.
Residency Year: September 20, 2021—September 23, 2022 (12-month, 4 Unit Program)

Pre-requisites: A theological degree at the master’s level from an accredited theological school, or equivalent. Master of Divinity preferred. One Unit of CPE desirable.
