Kayla Marie Gilmore was blessed and given the privilege to share her ministry of dance on the nationally acclaimed television program, The Bobby Jones Gospel Presents Show. The segment with Gilmore aired on Saturday, Oct. 1 and Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016, on IMPACT Network channels (Direct TV channel 380 and Dish Channel 268).
Gilmore was invited to be a part of the show with tremendous help provided by Javier Prater of Javi Artist Management Company.
She ministered the word of God through liturgical dance with an original she choreographed to the Queen of Gospel, Mahalia Jackson's "Trouble in the World." Jones asked Gilmore why she chose this song. She responded, "It is important to give hope and faith to the world especially in the troublesome times we are going through."
While ministering this liturgical dance presentation, the audience was overwhelmed. There was a great response with many standing and praising. Jones was amazed and said Gilmore interpreted the meaning of the song well.
It was with great pride that Gilmore represented the City of Starkville, Mississippi. Also acknowledging her liturgical dance ministry, where she is the Director of Liturgical Dance at First United Methodist Church in Starkville and giving a shout out to Bulldog Country.
