AFLAC Policies Now Available

Appointed Clergy and Local Church Paid Staff in the Mississippi Conference

I am pleased to announce that we have teamed up with AFLAC to offer every appointed clergy and local church paid staff, in the Mississippi Conference, the same policies for the same rates as is offered to the district superintendents and employees of the annual conference office. We have found these policies to be very beneficial and cost effective. While the premiums will not be eligible for salary reduction due to restrictions of the Affordable Care Act, they can be drafted from personal accounts. These plans are available to on an individual basis with no participation requirements in your paid church staff.

Aflac coverage options are now available to appointed clergy and local church paid staff at group discounted rates. Here is a brief outline of the AFLAC Group Benefit options available:

Catastrophic Coverage -cancer care, critical illness and specified diseases
            
Major Medical Supplement
Hospital Confinement Indemnity -helps fill the gaps of your health insurance co-pays and deductibles
Accident Plan - with 24 hour coverage available
Please note that all the Aflac Group Benefits:

• are offered to you and your families with a 30 to 50 percent discount from the normal direct premiums.
• are offered on a Simplify-Issue or Guaranteed-Issue basis which means many of you and your families may participate regardless of any health considerations.
• are paid directly to you regardless of any other insurance that you may currently own, unless you choose to assign them to a doctor or hospital.
• Premium payments can be deducted through your personal checking or savings account.
• claims can be processed in One-Day for most products.
