The long-awaited The Hour Magazine is making its debut at the 2015 Session of the Mississippi Annual Conference! There will be three to four issues of the magazine produced annually, according to Anthony Thaxton, director of production for "The Hour" television ministry. "The viewers of 'The Hour' television program are like family to us. As a staff, we wanted to give something back to these supporters. A magazine is a format that is allowing us to share some stories and images that we aren't able to share on the TV program. We are excited about this expansion of our ministry," said Thaxton. The premier issue contains stories and photos on the life and career of Rev. Keith Tonkel (featured on "The Hour"), an in-depth interview with Hollywood character actor Gary Grubbs, and a spread about the up-and-coming teenage music group called The Brickstreet Boys. Also in the issue is an introduction to the new Hour Gallery and Gifts shop. The shop is located at 306 Jefferson Street in Clinton, Mississippi. Copies of the magazine are free and may be picked up at the shop and at the The Hour booth during the annual conference session. Donors will receive a copy in the mail. Multiple copies may be requested for Sunday school programs that support the ministries. For more information about "The Hour," visit www.thehour.org. |
