At this time 16 deaths have been reported and hundreds of injuries.

Mississippi United Methodist Disaster Coordinators were on the ground immediately assessing damage and organizing response and recovery efforts.

The disaster team met with Bishop Hope Morgan Ward and conference staff days after the April 24 tornado and began organizing the recovery effort.  A call center has been established in the Conference office in Jackson for scheduling volunteer support and to receive calls for help.  Calls are now being accepted by calling 866-647-7486 or alternatively 601-354-0515 x21.
