Mission

Reaching out in mission locally and globally is one of five key initiatives for the Mississippi Conference.

The Mission Outreach Handbook offers guidance to churches that want to start or expand mission service to their local communities, state and nation, or even the world.

United Methodist-related mission institutions serve the least, the last, and the lost across Mississippi. Nine community centers provide a range of programming and services for children, families, and older adults. The Choctaw Mission near Philadelphia serves the Choctaw communities of Pearl Rives, Red Water, and Bogue Chitto. Wood Institute is a mission institution affiliated with the Women's Division of the General Board of Global Ministries and focuses on rural and small-church issues.
