Media Center

The Mississippi Conference Media Center provides support for the ministry of local churches by making available a variety of media resources at a reasonable cost. The annual membership is just $50 per church or $55 for a multi-point charge. That means your church can have its pick of hundreds of educational, interesting, and inspiring resources for under $5 a month.

Billy Graham has preached to stadiums full of people across the world, and he can preach in your church, too. Graham, Zan Holmes, Barbara Brown Taylor, and Will Willimon are part of the �Great Preachers� series available from the Media Center.

If finding Sunday School and Bible study teachers is a chore, let best-selling author Beth Moore lead your group! Our library includes a number of studies by Moore, Max Lucado, and other well-known authors and Bible teachers, as well as the Disciple Bible study series and the resources that complement the annual United Methodist Women�s studies.

Planning a spiritual life retreat becomes simple and economical with resources from the Media Center like An Ordinary Day with Jesus, a study that can be presented in in a one-, two-, or three-day retreat setting or in eight 50-minute segments, four two-hour sessions, or a Friday night/Saturday seminar.

Member churches may use any resource at no charge. When compared to the retail price of just one of the resources, you�ll see membership has its privileges.

The Media Center regularly adds new resources and appreciates your recommendations and requests.

Lending Policies

  • The Media Center depends on the users to return all materials in a timely manner. Failure to return all materials by the specified time may result in the suspension of membership.
  • Videos are loaned for two weeks. Multi-week studies are loaned for the recommended length of time necessary to complete the study. If more time is needed, contact the Media Secretary.
  • Users pay return shipping/mailing costs.
  • Any loss or damage during use or enroute back to the Media Center is the user�s responsibility. Insurance is recommended. Careful handling and use of the resources will help reduce replacement costs.
  • WE TAKE FEDERAL COPYRIGHT LAWS SERIOUSLY. Duplication of Media Center resources is prohibited. Duplicating copyrighted film or video programs is a violation of federal law and can result in financial penalties and/or jail.
  • Persons or churches receiving resources from the Media Center may not lend the resources to another person or church with the prior approval and instructions of the media secretary.
