Faith leaders urge poverty-related reforms


WASHINGTON (UMNS) – As millions of Americans begin to prepare their Thanksgiving meals, faith leaders convened on Capitol Hill this week to remind Congress and the Obama administration that there are many Americans who don't know when their next meal may be. Reforms can be implemented that will go a long way toward cutting poverty in half over the next 10 years, the leaders, representing Fighting Poverty with Faith said in their visits with officials and congressional staff.
