Registration is now under way for the United Methodist Women’s 2009 School of Christian Mission.
The school is designed especially for those who plan to teach or assist in teaching studies during the coming year, but also offers plenty for those who only wish to expand their minds.
The 2009 theme is “Together at the Table.”
The studies and instructors this year:
• Food and Faith — R. Lawton Higgs of Hueytown, Ala., Lou Ann Staggs of New Albany, and Linda Douglas of New York City
• The Beauty and Courage of Sudan: Why a Dream of Peace is Possible — the Rev. Ed Moses of Holly Springs, Steve McVey of Kuttawa, Ky. and Nancy Higgs of Hueytown
• Giving Our Hearts Away: Native American Survival — Sue Hakeem Michael of Pearl.
