Carolyn Ann Pine Felder, clergy spouse


MCCOMB – Carolyn Ann Pine Felder, 63, a clergy spouse, died April 19, 2009 at her home in Taylorsville.

Funeral services were held April 22 at Felder's United Methodist Church in Summit with the Revs. Glenn Martin and Glen Howell officiating. Pallbearers were her nephews, Al Felder, Ryan Plotner, Stephen Butler, Jamie Butler, Mike Felder, Johnny Felder and Jimmy Welch. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Katawar, Bobby Pinkham, Ronnie Duncan, Tommy Swarts, Ken Gilbert and Jeff Irland. Burial was in Felder's Campground Cemetery.

Mrs. Felder was the spouse of the Rev. Joe Felder.

She was born July 4, 1945, in Pike County. She was the daughter of the late T.H. and Geneva Pine. She was a member of Taylorsville United Methodist Church where she was the youth director and lead Bible studies; and she was active in the choir and United Methodist Women. She also treasured time spent with her family at the Felder's Camp meeting every summer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jeanette Fowler.

Other survivors include: sons, Joey Felder of McComb and John Thomas Felder of Summit; brother, Jerry Pine of Clearwater, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
