Urlyne Watts Biggers Worthen

MERIDIAN — Urlyne Watts Biggers Worthen, 97, died July 2, 2008, at South Central Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services were held July 5 at Magnolia Cemetery with the Revs. Ron Barham and Roy Biggers officiating. Barham Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Worthen was the mother of the Rev. Roy Biggers, a retired clergy member of the Mississippi Conference of The United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Worthen was a native of Kemper County and had lived in Union since March 2005. She lived in Meridian for almost 50 years prior to this where she raised her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Cecil Watts of Meridian and Paul Watts of Moultrie, Ga.

Other survivors include: daughter, Gloria Ann Biggers Carden of Madison, Ala., brother, Roy E. Watts of DeKalb; and two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
