MercyMe highlights gospel night at annual Choctaw Indian Fair


MercyMe will be the featured entertainment during a Gospel Jubilee of the 59th Annual Mississippi Choctaw Indian Fair this year.

The event is scheduled for July 9-12 in Choctaw near Philadelphia.

The gospel segment, which will also feature the Echoing Angels, is scheduled for 7 p.m. July 11. MercyMe is expected to perform some of its biggest hits including I Can Only Imagine and current hits such as So Long Self.

The fair begins at 7 p.m. July 9 annual Choctaw Indian Princess Pageant. Then at 7 p.m. July 10, country music artists Jason Michael Carroll and Emerson Drive hit the amphitheater stage.

Closing out festivities at 7 p.m. on July 12, the fair brings to the stage alternative and blues superstars, Indigenous and Los Lonely Boys.

Family Night is set for July 8. Starting at 5 p.m. and ending at 11 p.m., the night features local gospel talents at the Dance Ground, stickball games and reduced carnival ride rates.

Tickets for all acts and other fair activities excluding carnival rides are $15 for adult season passes, $10 for adult day passes, $10 for student season passes and $5 for student day passes. Children five and under get in free.
