Rising gas prices prompt lower entry fee for third Circuit Ride

5/7/2008

With rising gas prices making travel more expensive, organizers of the third annual Circuit Ride are making it easier for cyclists to participate.

Those who pre-register for the May 31 event will pay $10 and receive a T-shirt commemorating the event. Those who register the day of the ride will pay $5.

The event is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. in downtown Prentiss. For the second straight year, the ride will be along the Longleaf Trace, going south out of town. Participants can ride as far as Sumrall (50-mile roundtrip), Lot Circle (36 miles), Bassfield (22 miles), Carson (12 miles) or any distance the rider chooses. Rest stations will be provided along the way.

Send registration (including name, e-mail, phone number, address and shirt size) to Circuit Ride 3, Karen  Jones, May & Company, 110 Monument Place, Vicksburg, MS   39180.
