Delta native brings ventriloquism to Acona

Lesha Campbell Everettt and her troup of characters will be the featured speaker April 20 when Acona United Methodist Church celebrates its 134th homecoming.

Everett is a humorist, motivational speaker, mom and wife. Her family roots come from Crowder, where she took up the art of ventriloquism. She now lives in New Market, Ala., where her Way To Go Ministries is located.

The performance, called "Lesha's Loft," travels the United States and Canada carrying the torch of inspiring, motivating and enlightening people through love, harmony and education.

Acona UMC's homecoming begins at 11 a.m. A covered dish dinner will follow the service. The Rev. Ricky Reese is pastor.
