The Rust College A’Cappella Choir will be in concert at Columbus St. James United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. March 9. The choir is under the direction of Dr. Zebedee Jones and will present gospel, spiritual, classical and other selections. The church is located at
Christians around the world experience the pain of Jesus’ crucifixion and celebrate his resurrection on Easter, which will be observed March 23 this year. The conference office will be closed on Good Friday, March 21 and Monday, March 24.
The first of two conference-wide Lay Speaking Ministries Leadership Schools for 2008 is scheduled for March 28-29 at Wood Institute in Mathiston. Courses offered include Basic Lay Speaking, Our United Methodist Heritage, Lay Speakers Tell Stories and Lay Speaker Lead Small Groups.
