Cluster holds Harvest program

The South Jackson Cluster held its Harvest program on Sept. 30 at Van Winkle UMC with a worship service that included a dramatic interpretation of the lyrics to A Mountain of Harvest by Kim Hae Jon.

Not only was there singing and speechmaking, but the altar flourished with an outpouring of food collected from each of the nine churches for Stewpot. In addition, one half of the financial offering taken was to support and feed the hungry.

District Superintendent the Rev. Willis Britt attended the service, which included a memorial to the Rev. Marie Watts, who served as coordinator of the program in previous years.
