Miskelly to speak at New Albany District rally

The Rev. Raigan Miskelly of Tupelo will be the guest speaker at the New Albany District Lay Rally set for Oct. 11.

The event starts at 6 p.m. and will be held at the Northeast Mississippi Community College Student Union building in Booneville. The county chairmen will be in charge of selling and collecting the number from ticket sales.

Chairman Dalton Garner of Booneville Christ UMC and District Superintendent Jerry Beam led the planning meeting held Sept. 9 at New Albany First UMC.

Miskelly serves Tupelo First UMC as pastor for Christian formation. She also works with women’s ministry, family life, young adults and the prayer ministry.  She is also a certified spiritual director.

Miskelly graduated from Centenary College in Shreveport, La.,  with a degree in Christian education and received her masters of divinity from Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, Calif.
