The youth from the Booneville First United Methodist Church spent a week on the Gulf Coast – doing work with those who had suffered losses during Hurricane Katrina two years ago.
Ben Napier, Booneville First UMC youth director, took the group in August. The work experience taught the young people the value of helping others.
“This trip was a great bonding experience for our youth group,” Napier said. “We were, for the most part, an unskilled work team. However, the work done on one man’s property was especially appreciated. It was a true blessing for our group to be able to help even one person in any way.”
