Congressman to deliver sermon at Pratt UMC homecoming

District 2 U.S. Rep. Bennie G. Thompson will be the featured speaker Aug. 12 when Jackson Pratt Memorial United Methodist Church concludes its homecoming celebration. 

The 11 a.m. service will conclude a full weekend of activities. The event starts at 7 p.m. Aug. 10 with a Gospel Fest featuring Pratt’s Inspirational Choir, visiting choirs and vocalists. 

A church family picnic is planned for 9 a.m. Aug. 11 at Camp Pioneer in Pearl.
