Walker leads revival services at Columbus St. James UMC


The Rev. Marjorie Walker is leading revival services at Columbus St. James United Methodist Church this week.


The revival began July 16 and extends through July 20. Services are at 7 p.m. daily.


Walker is pastor at Itta Bena Samuel Chapel UMC and serves as director of the Wesley Foundation at Mississippi Valley State University. She has served those appointments since 2002.


Walker is a graduate of Rust College in Holly Springs and Gammon Seminary. She has served appointments at Jackson Aldersgate, Brookhaven Kynett-Pilgrim, Columbia Lampton-New Zion, Ocean Springs St. James, Gautier St. Stephens, Pascagoula St. Mark and Kosciusko Wesley-Barlow. She then served in the U.S. Air Force as a chaplain at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama, and later at G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Jackson. She was appointed to the Waynesboro Circuit in 2000.
