5 from Mississippi Conference graduate from MTS


Five of the 75 men and women who recently graduated from Memphis Theological Seminary are United Methodists from Mississippi. 


Dr. Larry H. Hilliard received a doctor of ministry degree. Hilliard serves Nugent United Methodist Church in Gulfport.


Receiving master of divinity degrees were Ada C. Williams of Aberdeen, Eugene Stockstill of Tremont and Diane Braman of Independence.  The late Wayne Vincent McCord of Red Banks was also awarded the master of divinity degree posthumously. McCord had been involved in ministry in Greenville prior to his death in December.


The Rev. Don Alexander, former moderator of the Board of Trustees of Memphis Theological Seminary, delivered the commencement address.
