Eva Ray Pierce Wilburn, 84, died Feb. 21, 2007, at Trinity Mission.

 

Services were Feb. 24 at Holly Springs Funeral Home with the Rev. Pat Roseberry, the Rev. Joe Lawson and the Rev. Walter Myers officiating. Burial was in the Early Grove Cemetery in Lamar. Pallbearers were Joe Wilburn, Joey Lawson, A.T. Lawson, Heath Wilburn, Matthew Wilburn, Richard Pierce and Larry Pierce.

 

Mrs. Wilburn was the mother of the Rev. Rex Wilburn of Bruce and the Rev. Anita Kay Lawson and the mother-in-law of the Rev. Joe Lawson, both of Potts Camp, all clergy members of the Mississippi Conference.

 

Mrs. Wilburn was born March 6, 1922, in Middleburg, Tenn. She was a retired employee of Troxel. She was a homemaker and a member of Early Grove Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Willard Wilburn Sr.

 

Other survivors include son, Joseph W. Wilburn Jr. of Moscow, Tenn.; daughters, Eva Wilburn Harvey and Janice Wilburn McDonald, both of Memphis, and Ann Wilburn Gandy of Potts Camp; brother, Julian Pierce of Mount Pleasant; and 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

 

Memorials may be made to Early Grove Methodist Church.
