Henry Osborne died Feb. 20, 2007, at his home. Services were held Feb. 24 at Black Oak M.B. Church in Okolona. The Rev. Dr. John H. Anderson officiated. Agnew and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Osborne was the brother of the Rev. Ever Jean Burt of Tupelo, a clergy member of the Mississippi Conference.
He was born Aug. 14, 1937, in Monroe County to the late Floyd and Nellie Henry Osborne. He was a member of Black Oak M.B. Church. He moved to Kansas City, Kan., in the mid-1970s.
He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Sallie Fields Osborne; a nephew, Charles Ray; and a niece, Priscilla Weatherspoon.
Other survivors include: sons, James Osborne and Eddie Osborne of Tupelo; sisters, Floyd “Flo” Weatherspoon of Tupelo, Annie Pulliam of Verona, Lillie Ray of Pontotoc, Frances Eddie of Okolona and Betty Gates of Shannon; brothers, John Osborne of Shannon and Raymond Osborne of Jackson; and two grandchildren.
