Bishop names 2 new superintendents


Bishop Hope Morgan Ward has announced the following decisions in the ongoing 2007 appointive process:

Ray Wallace, superintendent of the Starkville District, is retiring. Bob Rambo, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Clinton, will be appointed Starkville District superintendent.

Steve McDonald, currently serving as superintendent of the Greenwood District, will be appointed pastor of Central United Methodist Church, Meridian. Vickie White, pastor of Byhalia United Methodist Church, will be appointed Greenwood District superintendent.

John Hugh Tate, associate pastor at Christ United Methodist Church, Jackson, will be appointed to start a new congregation in the Jackson metro area.

All appointments will be effective following the 2007 Annual Conference.
