Women of Vine plan spiritual growth conference

2/7/2007

Jannie Wilcoxson, Tina Hudson and C.C. Robertson will be the featured speakers Feb. 24 when Women of the Vine holds its fourth spiritual renewal conference in Philadelphia.

“This year’s conference will not only provide inspirational Bible teaching and worship, but will also display the power of God’s love in our individual lives, regardless of the circumstances,” said Women of the Vine chair Susan Seal.

Wilcoxson is an internationally known speaker and Bible teacher.  She is the founder of Sound Words, which is a Christian education ministry in Ohio designed to teach the word of God in Bible classes, conferences, seminars, retreats, workshops and other ministries.

Hudson is a native of Kosciusko. A schoolteacher for 17 years, Hudson was a faithful churchgoer and studied the Bible. However, in 1998 following the death of her fourth child, she came to understand who God is and how much he loved her. She has the ability to tell hurting people about the faithfulness of God and about how he really does have a future of hope prepared for each one of his children, even when we don’t understand why he allows some hard things to come into our lives.

Robertson, director of student ministries at Philadelphia First United Methodist Church, will share her personal spiritual journey and how God’s presence sustained her through a harrowing experience in the middle of Hurricane Katrina. The Women of the Vine Praise and Worship Team will lead the music that will encourage, inspire and lead women into a holy time of worship.

Tickets are on sale.  The cost is $20 before Feb. 17 and $25 the day of the event. Box lunches are available for $5 for participants buying advanced tickets. Groups of 10 or more that pre-register together will receive a complimentary box lunch for each member of their group.
