Buskirk to lead Brandon First UMC revival

The Rev. Dr. Jimmy Buskirk will make a return visit to Mississippi when he serves as leader and speaker for revival services at Brandon First United Methodist Church.

The revival is scheduled for May 7-9.  The theme for the revival is “When God Comes to Brandon.” 

Buskirk, a native Mississippian and former member of the Mississippi Annual Conference, serves as adjunct professor of evangelism and preaching at Asbury Theological Seminary in Kentucky. Dr. Buskirk recently retired from First United Methodist Church of Tulsa, Okla., where he served 16 years as senior pastor during which the membership grew by more than 6,200 people.

Worship services are scheduled for 8:30 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. on May 7. On May 8, a breakfast program begins at 7 a.m., followed by a 7 p.m. service. Final day services are set for noon and 7 p.m.
