Stanley Barnett Landrum, retired pastor
PEARL — The Rev. Stanley Barnett Landrum, 80, died Dec. 4, 2005, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Services were held Dec. 7 at Hazlehurst United Methodist Church. Burial was in Lakewood Cemetery in Jackson.
Rev. Landrum was born on Jan. 30, 1925 in Walnut Grove. He served in the Mississippi Conference of The United Methodist Church for 50 years as a pastor at 37 churches. In June, he received a Certificate of Appreciation for 50 years of service to the conference. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and of the Korean Conflict. Rev. Landrum was a Master Mason of the Ovett Lodge, Lodge No. 0571.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Price Landrum of Brookhaven, his parents, Rev. Van R. and Sara Elizabeth Landrum of Gulfport and siblings, Van O. Landrum, Hollis T. Landrum, Carolyn Landrum Salley, and William Denson Landrum.
Survivors include: his wife, Louise Graham Landrum of Pearl; sons, Garry B. Landrum of Foxworth, Thomas Landrum of Gulfport, Wesley D. Landrum of Union, Dutch Landrum of Shady Dale, Ga., Van A. Salley of Houston, Texas, Jack Graham of Hamilton, Texas, and Jerry Graham of Lake Jackson, Texas and 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
