4th Annual Day of Hope:Community Day on Campus
Bringing Hope to Hurting Children in Mississippi
The Methodist Children’s Homes invites you to attend the 4th Annual Day of Hope, a community day on campus. Join us on Saturday, April 29 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. as we celebrate the hope that has been restored in our children through the faithful members of United Methodist churches across our state.
The Day of Hope is so much more than a “day,” and the outcome can be life changing. For our youth, it is a day that they look forward to all year long because they actually get the chance to meet you and show off their home. Last year, Joel was thrilled to be the “tour guide” for his home. He dressed in his best button up shirt, bow tie and slacks, and greeted each guest with a handshake and a hug. Being able to show off his home was an honor for Joel because for the first time in his life, he was actually proud of something. Your church members will be able to meet Joel, and find ways that they can be apart of impacting his life and other’s just like him.
Our children come to us hurt and hopeless, but by the time they leave our care, they are on the road to healing, and most importantly, they have hope for a bright future. It is because of you, that all of this is possible. You are bringing hope to MCH, and we hope that you will come and see first-hand how God is using you in the lives of these children and on our campus.
Gather a large group, and come help us celebrate the Day of Hope! We welcome churches, church organizations, Sunday school classes and members of the community to come and tour our homes and campus, meet our children, enjoy a fish fry, participate in a silent auction (with amazing items to bid on) and learn more about bringing hope to hurting children in Mississippi.
